Equality

St Patrick’s Sports Academy is dedicated to encouraging an inclusive culture amongst its members. As a club, we aim to promote diversity and eliminate discrimination in the club and wider community.

Our aim is to ensure that all members of St Patrick’s Sports Academy are given equal opportunities and that our club is representative of all walks of life. Each member will be respected and valued and able to give their best as a result of this.

This policy reinforces our commitment to providing equality and fairness to everyone within the community club and not provide less favourable facilities or treatment on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, ethnic origin, colour, nationality, national origin, religion or belief, or sex and sexual orientation. We are opposed to all forms of unlawful and unfair discrimination.

All members, no matter whether they are players, officials, parents or spectators, they will be treated fairly and with respect. When the club selects candidates for training, executive roles, or any other position or benefit, this will be done based solely on their aptitude and ability.

All members of the club are encouraged to develop their full potential and to utilise their unique talents. Therefore, the skills and resources within our club will be fully utilised and we strive to maximise the efficiency and running of our entire club, whilst promoting a safe, supportive environment.

St Patrick’s Sports Academy will inform all members that an equality and diversity policy is in operation and that they are obligated to comply with its requirements and promote fairness within the club. The policy will also be drawn to the attention of all our club partners and sponsors.

St Patrick’s Sports Academy’s equality and diversity policy is fully supported by our Committee and will be monitored and reviewed on an annual basis to ensure that equality and diversity is continually promoted both within the club and the wider community.
